Background

Riley Barron is a construction and operations leader with extensive experience managing multimillion-dollar projects across diverse market sectors — including commercial building, aviation, education, and healthcare. A Bradley University graduate with a B.S. in Construction Management, Riley has excelled in roles ranging from Quality Control / Project Engineer to Vice President and President.

He specializes in implementing Entrepreneurial Operating Systems (EOS), optimizing processes, and enhancing project controls to drive clarity, alignment, and growth. Riley's expertise includes dispute mitigation, technical writing, resource management, and comprehensive knowledge of procurement methods such as Design-Build, IPD, CM at Risk, and GMP.

David J. Conway, CPA

Background

David Conway is a CPA, owner of Conway Tax CPAs, and managing partner of B&C Construction Consulting. After earning a B.S. in Finance from Bradley University, David spent the early part of his career in corporate finance for banks — starting as an analyst and ending his banking tenure as Director of Finance for Urban Partnership Bank, the successor institution to Shore Bank.

Urban Partnership Bank was a unique post-2010 vehicle owned by Chase, Bank of America, and Northern Trust in exchange for Community Reinvestment Act credits, holding the largest share of failed assets as a percentage of portfolio of any bank in the country. Approximately 80% of the assets were non-performing loans, exposing David to complex accounting and a deep working knowledge of bank loan workout.

While in banking, David completed graduate-level accounting coursework, sat for the CPA exam, and joined Conway Tax CPAs alongside his father, Ray. Over the past 12+ years he has grown — and now owns — a practice with a strong focus on construction companies. Through B&C he extends that expertise into a more comprehensive advisory offering alongside Riley Barron.
